Lately our favorite Spanish designer Jordi Labanda is popping up everywhere and being worn by everyone on TV. MTV's The City star Whitney Port went casual in a Parisian printed Shirt and A Fashionable Mom wore one of our favorite dresses from Spring/Summer 2009 on The Style Channel's Dallas Divas and Daughters!

A stylish star on the CW's Melrose Place was wearing a dress by Ted Baker as well.

That's the great thing about European style, we've got it before they wear it, and it's always in style!

So, as fall becomes more apparent and we can feel that chill in the air we all need that great "go to" sweater to throw on to turn those chills into sizzles. After all, we don't need the temperature high to feel "hot", hot is a state of mind this season! Eurotrash is packed with this seasons "hottest" pieces that will warm you from the inside out and an awesome staff longing to help!

Personally, I love a great sweater. I always have this fantasy of curling up in some Kersh leggings and a yummy, warm Covet sweater and sipping cocoa in front of the fire (preferable with a gorgeous guy, but we can't have it all!). I know, I know, so cliche, but hey! I'm runnin' with it! :)

Here are some of my favorite pieces that we've gotten in so far that you can create your own fantasy with!

Covet: Boiled eco-wool envelope coat Price: $165.00 Great for: Out door events (I heard someone say football games!), casual outings. Everyday coat, or do like our model and go for the dress look. Hey, it's yours! Wear it how you want! Own it!

Covet: Soybean cotton viscose cashmere turtleneck dress Price: $122.50 Great for: Everyday use. Pair it with some tights and boots for a casual look. Or you could put a cardigan over it belted with some pumps or flats. Hello, business casual!

Now I promise I'm not biased I am just IN LOVE with these two pieces! They just both happen to be Covet.

Well, now that I have shown you some amazing sweater options you've got to have shoes to go out in (we can't spend all day snuggled in front of the fire)! Here are my top picks for foot decor to go with your fabulous sweaters!

Ash Boots: Parfum Bootie Price: $200.00 Great for: Casual everyday wear, office with a cute sweater dress (like above!)

Ash Boots: Icone Bootie Price: $178.00 Great for: Casual everyday wear, office with a cute sweater dress (like above!)

I hope you have enjoyed getting an inside look at my fashion loves (and fantasies!) and I look forward to seeing you in the store! Until then!

With much love,

Nancy

What girl doesn't love something sparkly? This season embrace the glitz and glamour in whichever way you feel comfortable. Do it big or do it small, it doesn't matter, just add that extra glimmer somehow.

If you're daring, the Jordi Labanda all sequin "LOVE" dress, will be sure to stop traffic.

If you just want a dash of shimmer, pick a metallic sheen fabric and you can't go wrong with Mina UK's darling dress.

What's really hot this season is bejeweled necklines. A simple tee with beads and crystals, or a great broach is an easy way to make the most simple outfit instantly chic.

Worried about what to wear this fall? That's the great thing about European fashion, you don't need to worry about being out of style this autumn. Even last season's sale items will easily carry you into the chilly winter months.

Nothing could be more indicative of this season than a super comfy cardigan. So many sweaters, so little time. We couldn't be more excited with the amount of great cardigan options that we're seeing for this fall. Regardless of what your style, budget or age, there is a sweater for you. This Fall, fashion is fun again! Sweaters with ruffles, scarves, and ties, it's ok, if you want to play in your closet we don't blame you!

The perfect undergarments for any outfit have arrived at Eurotrash.  Islay (Eye-La) is a line of layering pieces designed to go beneath sexy, low cut dresses, tops, sweaters and jackets. The line includes both practical basic black strapless bras and camisoles as well as lurex bandeau tops that add a flash of color and shine beneath sheer garments.  The Fall 2009 Collection is comprised of seamless styles made with both natural fabrications like Bamboo and fabrics which give shape and support such as nylon, spandex and metallic lurex.

The name Islay is feminine and one of the designer's favorite names for a woman.  Islay is also a beautiful small Scottish Island and as such a celebration of the designer Jody's half Scottish roots! Islay offers a quality line of comfortable seamless pieces that are alternatives to traditional wire bras and sports tops.

Alex's tips on how to take exisiting pieces and add something new so that you don't break the bank: August, 30, 2009

It may still be sweltering outside, but it is never too early to start thinking about transitioning your wardrobe for fall. What better place to start then right at home? Go through your closet and take out those things you forgot you bought last fall, or even the things you didn't know how to wear. In today's economy who can afford to go out and buy an entire new wardrobe every year? So with a little creativity and imagination, you can make pieces you already had (while adding several new pieces) work for fall too.

An easy place to begin is by pulling all the jewel tones to the forefront of the closet. Those rich, dark jewel tones are always in for fall. The skinny jeans you bought last year are still super cute for 2009. For the perfect easy to wear day outfit, throw on those skinny jeans and pair them with our comfy and versatile Kersh knit tops and a pair of great boots-and VOILA! You'll look like a million bucks with such ease! For any time of day or night-our great Orion or Yumi dresses worn with a warm pair of leggings and booties couldn't be any more stylish. One of the most popular trends for this fall is animal prints. If you have any animal print hiding in the depths of your closet, bring it back out with pride! The best accessory for fall? A LoveQuotes scarf of course! They're worn by the super stylish celebs, and we have them! They come in the brightest colors, are so soft, chic and are the perfect final touch to any cool weather outfit.

So when you decide to put away the mini skirts and sun dresses, don't fret, ease into it, you don't have to do it all at once!

Anne's 2 cents on staying fashionable while being thirfty in today's climate: June 5, 2009

While it's definitely no joke that we're in unprecedented economic times and everyone has been affected in some way or another, many of us are fortunate to still be working and all of us are reevaluating how we're spending money.  That said, we still need to do a little for ourselves every once in a while, and while that doesn't mean going crazy, we can still find little ways to splurge here and there.

SALE! SALE! SALE! With so many sales these days, why not take advantage of them?  One note of caution, however, is don't buy just because it's a great deal.  We've all been guilty of it -- getting that great t shirt that was a gazillion dollars, now marked down to $20.  So what if it's an XS and I've never been an XS?!  I'll get there!  But seriously, don't buy because of the deal.  That said, don't overlook a great piece because it may need to be altered a bit or because it's not of the current season.  Afterall, we can all use a great pair of black trousers or a great coat -- and at half off or more, why not treat yourself?  You can get the shopping gratification now, put it away for later, and still have something new to pull out and enjoy in a few months time.  (And for my shameless plug... we've got 60% off all of our Fall items, which include some great pieces for the coming months.  Best yet, European fashions are always ahead, so you can still have it first while getting it on sale!)

Can't stand trying on that sweater when it's 90 degrees?  We can all appreciate wanting to buy current season merchandise and we can certainly do that these days, too. Look for classic pieces with flair that can be used year after year, season after season -- a great shirt dress, a wide leg trouser, a layering tank, etc. and make a purchase that will last you.  Also, look for unique pieces that, when paired with a basic, will make for a super outfit -- a fab top, tunic or vest can be added to jeans, trousers, etc. and can be layered in the coming Fall.

Make sure that your wardrobe has the staples as well as some stunners.  And be sure to reevaluate your wardrobe year after year.  Replace when necessary and throw out when needed.  Shop in your own closet and then look for key pieces to add in here and there.  Once you know what you're looking for, let the hunt begin!  Be open to trying on other styles and variations while sticking within the parameters of your needs.  You can still buy -- just know it's with a purpose!  Adding in some key items will make you feel like you have a new wardrobe without the guilt and without breaking the bank!

And on a side note, you can always come in for a free consultation.  Make an appointment, bring in some items you've never worn or that need something to match.  We'll help you find the perfect pieces, within your budget.  Just give us a call (804.622.EURO) to set something up.

Apple green, deep purple, daiquiri mix pink. Yellows, oranges, and all shades of blue. All of Springtime's most familiar shades! Graphic prints, florals and ruffles. It's all here at Eurotrash. Come in for a breath of fresh air and check out new designs by Ted Baker, Nougat, Kersh, Bench and Hooch!

Just as we are starting to catch up on Fashion Week's latest collections, The Sartorialist's most current "outside the tents" street style shot, and don't forget - Eurotrash's newest incoming Spring orders - Alas! Another thing to occupy our fashion related To Do, To See list. As I sift through piles and pages of Oscars' aftermath, I'd much rather focus on fashions that are a bit more practical for us "get up and go gals."

As designers are showing Fall 09 at NYFW, Jamie and Anne are at Coterie browsing the booths for chilly-weather wear and here in Richmond (where it's a brisk 35degees),I'm reporting to you the lastest Spring trends and items in the store ... It can get a bit confusing as to where our fashion focus should be in late February.

March is soon approaching, followed by warmer mornings and April showers, which yes we all know what's next - May flowers. So believe it or not, Spring is on it's way. And here at Eurotrash - we couldn't be more ready.

Last September during the Spring 09 shows, hoodies, jumpsuits, and legging-like running pants hit the runway in the most elegant 'gym-wear, morning jog' fashion. The good news is, you don't have to be in the middle of a cardio workout to sport the latest trend in sportswear. Alexander Wang (above) took an 80's inspired hoodie design paired it with black, black black and a short skirt and created the perfect day to night casual to party look.

Jamie and I, a chilly winter morning in the store, two peppermint mochas from across the street, and a lot of help from the newest Spring Kersh items ... did something quite similar.

Kersh did a great green poncho for spring, the tie at the waist gives a lot of flexibility with how it can be worn. It is incredibly comfortable and is the perfect colorful punch to a simple outfit. The hood is cute worn up or down. Under it I have the white Kersh Painters Top. Again, another great simple piece from Kersh. And at $62.00 for the white top and $95.00 for the green poncho, what more could we ask for from our favorite French Canadian line?! I have it paired with black tights and brown booties, so without the green I'm ready for an all-night party in a boyfriend inspired oxford dress. If I slip on a pair of comfy flats or tennis shoes, I'm out having lunch on an early Spring afternoon. How much easier could it be?! And don't forget our favorite Love Quotes scarves ... more in for Spring. Cameron Diaz, Sienna Miller, and Rachel Bilson would approve.

Until Next time - stay warm and start thinking SPRING.
